Best comment on the lets run message board regarding Suzy Favor Hamilton's husband tolerating her side job as a Vegas "escort"...

"He's a lawyer, so there's a good chance he's a moral relativist".

From Jake K on Thu, Dec 20, 2012 at 12:48:10 from 155.100.226.191

I knew I'd find mention of Suzy in the comments here :-)

LOL!!! Great stuff! :) Situation-ally ethical - 24/7.

Thread of the day...

"Can someone loan me $600 for a good cause?"

From Bam on Thu, Dec 20, 2012 at 13:36:55 from 89.126.28.24

As an absolutist, at least when it comes to moral philosophy, I've just posted 1,800 bucks to you, Jake. Split it 3 ways between yourself, the school master and, if he's that way inclined, Bret. If, however, you keep the 1,800 bucks for yourself - good on ya lad. Play safe:)

From Rob Murphy on Thu, Dec 20, 2012 at 15:46:52 from 24.10.249.165

Thanks so much Bam.

However I'm pretty sure that my wife would insist on using the $600 towards our bathroom remodel and not Vegas hookers.

When I was out running this morning I reflected on my previous comment and I now feel that I made a mistake. I should not have posted the previous comment as it may be construed as smutty. That was not my intention.

There is no doubt, however, that my comment was in bad taste and it was wrong of me to evince such extreme schadenfreude, especially here, on Bret's blog. My apologies Bret. I'm sure that you are a good and upstanding man.

Mr Murphy, I am sorry too, to have presented you with such temptation when you too are no doubt an upstanding man and a school master to boot. I hope that your new bathroom, when it arrives brings you much pleasure and helps to cleanse you of any impure thoughts that you may have suffered as a result of my comment. My sincerest apologies to your good lady.

Jake, it's a big bad world out there kidda. I don't think we should let you near Letsrun anymore - it might lead you astray. You have a bright future ahead of you. Stick to the road less trave(l)ed - the joys of hard work are far more satisfying than the transient and exquisite joys afforded by the pleasures of the flesh.

Once again, chaps. Sorry. Enjoy your runs today safe in the knowledge that you are good, nay, great and pure men.

Well said, Mr. Bam.

I did my penance, in the form of pool running last evening. The water was especially cold and I felt like I deserved that.

From Bret on Fri, Dec 21, 2012 at 16:55:36 from 96.228.167.228

Thank you Bam but no offense was taken by yours truly. I am a lawyer after all - pretty much need thick skin for that line of work anyway. Appreciate your message though.

From Bam on Sat, Dec 22, 2012 at 05:17:44 from 89.126.28.24

Had you down as a lawyer - the direct and Latinate language etc. I just thought that your sensibilities might be a touch softer than mine and I remembered that you go to church etc. I've got to catch on that not everybody has the same world view as me - in fact, I doubt anybody has:)
