| PM - 5k around the town of Colchester England. Travelled here overnight from India for a business meeting tomorrow morning. Windy and chilly. Very jet lagged.

| AM - 3 miles in the town of Colchester - cold and windy. Evidently an historically ancient settlement - the first of the Romans in the English Isle according to the book in my hotel room. Bit of a gritty northern working class looking city, with a pleasant looking town center.

| AM - a few loops around the hotel parking lot next to Heathrow airport. My room literally looked onto a runway. Not sound proof either. Headed home today.

| AM - 6 miles with Finn back on my home soil. Lower 30's temperature-wise - so a brisk start to the day. My dog really was in need of some exercise.

PM - 7 miles on the treadmill at the gym at lunchtime near my office. Cold and rainy this morning and I did not feel like going outside.
A year ago today I had a coronary artery stent procedure done to remediate a 90% blockage in my Left Anterior Descending artery. Could have easily resulted in a heart attack if it had gotten any more blocked without being diagnosed or corrected - but I was fortunate enough to have some anginal type symptoms that I noticed when I was running - and I was persistent with my doctors and they were thorough in their efforts despite the seemingly contraindications of any issues (40+ years of running, no family history, non-smoker, good diet and cholesterol labs) aside from those complaints.
Within 24 hours of the procedure I felt incredibly improved and was permitted and encouraged to resume my running within a week and was back to full training after 90 days.
I would have been happy just to be able to run - but instead I have had a great experience this year, almost turning back the clock 6 years to times that I was running in 2013 - and I feel great.
What a difference a year has made. Feeling very blessed.
