AM - 2 miles of walking this morning before surgery.

PM - surgery went well - bilateral pelvic floor repair - abdominis rectus, adductor longus and adductor pectinius tears were repaired - adductor releases and steroidal injections were done.  According to my wife the doctor said he expected the left side to be bad - and it was - but evidently the right side was actually worse than expected.

Recovering at the hotel now and will travel back tomorrow.

Good news Bret but man this sucks.

On the bright side, you may return from this a much better runner.

Travel safe and keep us posted. Good luck with your recovery.

Hope you are feeling better, Bret.

Andrea filled me in on the details of your surgery... jeez, you jacked yourself up like she did! Seems like you should be able to get back on your feet a little quicker though. Best of luck over these next couple days as you start the recovery process.

Rob - thanks - that comment about being a much better runner has stuck with me all day - hope it turns out that way! At a minimum my adductors (not released) are feeling like I have a more range of motion than ever!

Jake - "jacked-up" is about what the doctor said after getting inside to see things. Don't know what I did, but he says he's got it all locked down now - so I should not have that problem ever again.

I should've gotten me some of those steroidal injections! I bet they will help a lot.

Good luck on that plane flight home! And with recovery, of course.
