| AM - 6 miles with Finn on a crisp Fall morning. Did not initially plan to run too quickly, or even this far, but as the run progressed I opted for a longer route and the last 3 miles were both quite hilly and at a strong pace. I quite enjoyed it.

| AM - drove up to WV yesterday to pick up Tracy's parents and bring them down to ATL for a little while to see their newest great granddaughter. Had a nice run this morning along the Ohio River and back through town for 7 miles. Last 3-4 miles were at a quicker pace on a brisk beautiful fall day.

| AM - just under 6.5 miles this morning before work. Ran past the John Marshall HS renovated stadium and track - which looks quite nice overall; though they somehow chose a yellow/gold color for the track to match the school colors - and it looks really unusual. Made my way back along the railtrail that parallels the Ohio River. Lots of fall colors at the early stages - cool and damp. Several deer along the trail, did not have a care in the world that I was close enough to touch team. Heading back to ATL tomorrow.

| AM - 5 miles with Finn - partly on the golf course. Saw Dan on a walk with Rosie, he's still struggling with injuries that are keeping him from running. We chatted for a bit - hopefully he will be back at it soon.

| AM - a little over 6 miles with Finn before starting my workday. Sunrise did not happen until well after we finished. I think when it is cool, I prefer seeing sunshine in the morning even if it is just early sunrise versus complete darkness (which I do not mind in the summer when it is really warm).

| PM - 6 miles with Finn on the former golf course - I have not been out there in a few months. It is really overgrown and lots of downed trees. But it was a nice day and it was quiet out there - cannot wait until the city finally provides the funding to convert it to a managed park.

| AM - 5.25 miles with Dan and our dogs - mostly on the golf course well before sunrise. 2500 meters of indoor rowing afterwards. Not sure what I am doing with the rowing - as in I do not have a plan or a goal - I just get on the machine and row for a set distance - which doesn't seem too far that I will be sore or negatively impact my running - but trying to find a sweetspot of effort and distance to feel like it is somehow providing me some benefit - whether that is strength or additional fitness.

| AM - 6.5 miles along the Ohio River in WV on a railtrail. Very foggy and damp, unseasonably warm, about half of the leaves are down off the trees. Saw 8 deer including a buck on the trail one of which did not even leave the trail as I passed by. They are so much larger than the ones I see in my area of Georgia.

| PM - Tropical Storm Zeta was coming through in the morning and it had surprisingly high winds with lots of trees uprooted or snapped and power lines downed so I stayed indoors. Actually just stepped on the treadmill when the power went out. We were without power for about 7 hours - but others, including my daughter's family won't be restored until Sunday evening - so they stayed with us.
Got out for a brief run this evening to keep my streak of no days off (with at least a 3 mile run) since the start of COVID (March 1). Lots of debris and damage from fallen trees all over the neighborhood. My yard only had debris - but two large trees on the wooded area of my property were down. Probably won't do anything about removing those. The tree service companies are quite busy and charging premium rates anyway.

| AM - 5.25 miles with Dan and our dogs. Dan's house and his side of the neighborhood are still without power this morning. Winds are still high and gusting, but I think that's from a cold front coming through. Will have plenty of yard clean up on my to do list this weekend.
