I once tripped over an armadillo running at midnight across a fairway at the Dunedin Country Club. No headlamps in the 80s.

Was that on a real run or just running to get home before curfew? :)

No, a real run. When I was home from college over the summers, I found that midnight was the only reasonable time for a decent workout in Florida.

Encountered a lot of drunks and hostile motorists.

Yikes! I've seen my fair share of armadillos, but the thought of tripping over one disturbs me.

Good to see you taking it easy, Bret - with your fitness you'll be feeling decent again soon.
