AM - 4 miles with Dan and our two dogs - Finn seemed particularly excited to have another of his species to run with - or at least to say hello to - on our run.  He tends to pull ahead as the lead dog and Dan's dog, Rosie, is more content to run beside him - so aside from the initial greetings - Finn is all business about his run.

For some reason I was compelled to sign up for the virtual Boston Marathon "Experience" which was offered for runners who were signed up for the 2020 race which was initially postponed from April to September but ultimately canceled due to COVID-19  - wherein you have from Sept 7-14 to run the marathon distance (in one day - and within a time of less than 6 hours) and report the same to the Boston Athletic Association - and in return you get a commemorative bib / number and finisher's t-shirt and medal.   I thought it may be a unique historic artifact that my grandchildren may find interesting (or not) 50 years from now.   The detailed rules are not yet published for how the virtual event will be conducted, but the FAQ's provide that the virtual race can be run on a treadmill....hmm.

Sounds cool. Almost makes me want to end my 8 year marathon hiatus.
